SJ Cyclones Coaches
Nick is founder of The South Jersey Cyclones and has managed 39 Cyclones teams over 10 years and 21 Seasons.
Nick is Cal Ripken and Rutgers Certified. He is a Baseball Certified Member of the National Alliance for youth sports. He is a graduate of Coaching Advanced Baseball –The Ripken Way. Nick also attended numerous baseball coaching clinics including University of Penn Assistant Coach John Yurkow’s Baseball Coaches Clinic and Milt Thompson’s Hitting Made Easy Seminar.
Nick’s passion for baseball goes back as far as he could remember, always playing, watching and studying the game. When Nick is not coaching the Cyclones, there is nothing more important to him than his family. He enjoys spending time with his wife Lisa, his daughter Lea, and his three boys Nick, Anthony, and Rocco, who are also Cyclones players.
Jim Barron has served as a Freshman Football coach for Highland, Paulsboro, Gateway, and Winslow High Schools, as well as freshman baseball coach for Haddonfield,
Jim also coached varsity baseball at Audubon High School, Lindenwold High School, and currently Clayton High School.
He played high school baseball at Audubon High School, and collegiality at Camden County College and Temple University.
Nick Matarazzo played 9 years and 18 Season with the South Jersey Cyclones. He was also a 4-year baseball player at Washington Township High School. He graduated in 2018 in the top 15% of his class. Currently, Nick attends Rowan University majoring in Civil and Environmental Engineering.
Nick has coached 4 Cyclones seasons since his playing career concluded, and continues to be an active participant in all levels of The Cyclones program.
